Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
JIL Federation Technologies, Inc. operates the JIL Wallet. The same company operates the Layer-1 at jilsovereign.net. Contact: contact@jilsovereign.com.
2. What we collect
- Account identifiers (email, @handle, device and session data) when you create or sign in to a wallet.
- Identity and screening data required for KYC, KYB, sanctions, and movement policy. We collect what the gate needs, not a general dossier.
- Transaction metadata needed to send, receive, wrap, and keep an audit log. Named movement-log entries are part of the product.
- Support messages you send to us.
We do not collect biometric templates off-device. Passkeys stay on your authenticator.
3. How we use it
To operate the wallet, authorize signs you request, run identity and sanctions gates, keep records, provide support, and meet law. We do not sell personal data.
On the default service key, shares are created server-side and signing reconstructs the secret in memory. You authorize every sign. This is not "only you hold keys". Hardware wallets and Gnosis Safe are the paths where you control keys. FROST-class threshold signing is not shipped.
4. Sharing
We share data with processors who run screening, email, hosting, and similar infrastructure under contract. We share when law requires it. We do not share with the payment-integrity company as if it were this host's operator.
CourtChain, when used, is a customer-gated append-only evidence log (hash chain on object storage). It is not the JIL L1 and not a public blockchain.
5. Retention
Account and KYC records are kept for as long as the account exists and as required by AML and similar law after closure. Support mail is kept as needed to finish the request.
6. Your rights
Where applicable law gives you access, correction, deletion, or export rights, write to contact@jilsovereign.com. Some records cannot be deleted while AML retention applies.
7. Cookies
See the Cookie Policy. Essential session and security cookies are required to sign in.
8. Changes
We will post updates on this page. Material changes get a notice in the product or by email when we have an address.
